Comenius-Project  “Fit in(to) Europe“: Magdeburg Conference 5 – 9 March 2011

“THE  SPORT”:  COMBALL

1. what the playing field looks like
basketball size court with floor markings

2. how to move the ball (small softball)
throw ball with hand, pass it after two steps
only goalkeeper has a bat (table tennis or the like)

3. how to score points
3 hoops fixed to goal (1 in the middle above the crossbar, 2 on the corners, outside)
try to score only after the ball has been handled by a girl at least once!
3 points (middle) / 1 point (side)

4. the “dos and don’ts”
5 players each side – including rolling sub (depending on actual size of field)
rotate goalkeeper both sides after goal has been scored
no contact (i.e. no barging),  no deliberate use of feet
no one allowed in the D-zone with a ball

5. penalties
zone entered: free throw from 7m
other infringements: ball goes to the other side

6. how the game begins
ball thrown in

7. when the game ends
7/7 -  break 3’
in tournament finals: 3’ extra time,
then 5 penalties per team, taken by 5 different players
